Sorry state of Aussie cricket

I do not believe it. It's not just that we lost ---- it's that we gave up without a fight. Or so it seemed. What happened? What went wrong? Fair enough, we don't have the likes of Gilly, Pigeon, Langer or Symmo....but that's no excuse.

A supposed spat between Ponting and Lee.

A horrendous 'effort' by Matty Hayden (I think retirement's calling!)

I am sad. And disappointed.

Is it delusional to dream that there is a possibility of a comeback in the next two tests?

Maybe, just maybe.

Until next time

  1. That onfield spat between Ponting and Lee was so, um, I don't know. So childish and unecessary.

And the team doesn't have any character. There isn't any flair.

    DONOTWANT!

  2. Yep --- childish is the right word. Hmm, the things losing does to people.

I'm dreading that Aussie cricket ain't going to be the same any more...

  3. Captain Junk...that's the problem! Tugga, nor Tubs would have let the few recent defeats and draws happen in such a lacklustre manner.

Plus, he just needs to let Binga bowl! Nothing sorts Mr Lee out more than sending the wood into a cartwheel!!

Excited to find myself on your blogroll!

  4. Tash, agree with you on the captaincy. After all, the last time the Aussies won the test series in India, Gilly captained them to victory. And with Tugga, they put up a fight alright.

Btw, were you ever 'Tarsh' on a Gilly site/yahoo cricket chat? Just wondering...
