So I googled the name of my blog and the second item that pops up is this: HappeNing: Over Cups of Coffee: Being assertive --- I finally did it! where someone has decided to post my post on being assertive and made changes with atrocious English and very poor grammar (looks like they have just used the MS Word thesaurus for some words) and impersonate my signature at the end as well. I know they have mentioned my blog name in the heading and my name at the bottom...but it's still impersonating me and changing my content without my permission.
And I am mad.
I have left them a message on the post to remove it.
Let's see what happens...
NOT HAPPY!!!!
That sucks. I hope they remove it!
ReplyDeleteSweets, the entire site is full of plagurised posts. Google any of the "post" titles and you will find the blog it is stolen from. There are also professional paid websites that have been copied (not that this makes your site any less worthy, just sayin that there are some worth serious cash)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, this happens all the time!
that's what I'm afraid of, I want to post short stories on my blog but I'm hesitating, what if someone will copy it and then might even claim that I'm the one copying them. hope they'll remove what they copied from you...
ReplyDeleterofl. i had someone use what i had written and not linked back. i wrote in reply to their post and if that next time if they could link back to my blog {where it was taken from}. i didnt say they had to remove it. just that next time some recognition would be nice. they deleted my comment! i was upset. so i took down my post. and deleted them.
ReplyDeleteThis is really disgusting. I think you should follow the way IHM bugged the content theives.
ReplyDeleteThat's truly bizarre!
ReplyDeleteI'd be pissed as well! Good on you for taking a stand, will wait to hear the outcome!
ReplyDeleteThis is the third time recently I have seen this and it is so annoying!! The other two were blatantly taken from cricinfo, so that was stupid as well as rude. To steal from a personal blog is something different, it's more offensive somehow because this is so personal. Hope she takes it down. If not, we'll find her and send her a mail bomb :-)
ReplyDeletethat is pathetic...just visited the site and they haven't removed it yet...
ReplyDeleteSpewin...
ReplyDeleteI just checked out the blog - nice comment you left.
I mean if your are going to blog, write your own content. Or write up some similar and give credit and link it back to the original source.
I would contact google anyway.
Idiots. Some people seem to have too much time.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'll go there and leave a comment too.
That's really sad girl. Yeah they have converted your posts into something in butler english though :) lol. It's funny to read..hehe
ReplyDeletePls take a firm stand, contact Google. Plagiarism is a curse and it's been dealt with rather sternly by the blogger community. Good Luck.
ReplyDeleteOk. What is really weird is that, he copied it with your name and signature and made changes also(pathetic grammar). I never saw anyone copying this way :| .. What was he trying to achieve? Freako!
ReplyDeleteThe article is still there. I'd file a report with Google. I'm pretty sure plagarism is against the terms of service, and the so-called blog is on Blogger. They've closed blogs down for a lot less.
ReplyDeleteWhat's also sad is that person's profile has gotten over 950 views, probably all from people who are pissed that their content has been stolen.
Good luck with Google.
this is sad..i think its a bots work..there is no info on the author of that blog either
ReplyDeleteYou go girl!
ReplyDeletePlagarism is a literal violation! And good for you for standing up for your rights!
Oh that is soooooooooo wrong! How dare they plagiarize!!! Have you reported it to Google and Blogger? That person(s) should not be allowed to make any Adsense money off of a page that is plagiarized!!!
ReplyDeleteSo what happened? was it removed?
ReplyDeleteI haven't reported it yet but will be doing so...it's still on there
ReplyDeleteI'm going to report it...haven't done it yet.
ReplyDeleteI've actually been too slack to report it but will take action this week I think. It's still out there...
ReplyDeleteAny news on this yet?
