**********

She showered all her love and attention on her newborn. She couldn’t understand her husband’s jealousy. Or his weird stares. Or sad face. But she didn’t care; her son needed her.

He finally couldn’t take it and showed her their son’s grave. He had been still born. 2 years ago.

Love can do strange things.

  4. Nice twist. Good attempt. But it was not as good as your post on Blog-a-ton 'escape'.I feel you could have shown that the child was dead in a better way.

  28. I meant - 'showed her the son's grave' - i felt that somehow it did not logically fit and could have been slightly tweaked to give a better effect. She is obviously gone crazy because she knows her son is dead but had begun to believe he is alive. So what will showing her the grave accomplish?

  29. Been reading your posts for a long time - delurked now

  30. Given that the son was still born, she has been depressed and deluded since...the showing of the grave is meant to represent a reality check...a step towards getting her to accept what has happened.
    ReplyDelete
  31. Ah...well, I'm really glad you de-lurked! =)

  32. You have expressed deepest feelings in just 55 !!
