I have had a full week. Been busy from Tuesday to Saturday. Doing something every night (community college classes - 2 nights, socialising - 2 nights, running a group at work - 1 night). Plus I have been going for a walk at 6 am on four mornings.
And today, my body gave way. I couldn't wake up till 10 and my body ached. I still managed to clean my house (because it just had to be cleaned) and was happy to have the place to myself.
At 6:30 pm, I'm still tired. I think I could go to bed by 8 at this rate.
Where do others get the energy from?
Sadly, another similar week lies ahead. Except I won't be socialising (I think!)
How was your week and your weekend?
Until next time,
Cheers!!!
Nice post, Even I feel tired and exhausted like that many times.
ReplyDeleteBut then the cycle keeps going on, and the weekdays and the weekend keep coming back one after the other. My week was pretty much the same as every other week, nothing new.
It is a vicious cycle isn't it? You wait for the weekend and before you know it, it's gone... =S
ReplyDeleteA walk at 6am on four mornings? Deary me, that's impressive!
ReplyDeleteI have also had a very tiring week, but I've thankfully made up for it with a very relaxing weekend. For me, the energy comes from sheer necessity and coffee...lots of it :)
try red bull ;)
ReplyDeleteMy week began exciting - lots of trips to the gym, which I am loving; a new class at the gym, which I was looking forward to and the election was on Thursday. There was a real scent of change in the air, it was exciting.
ReplyDeleteAnd then my new class on Wednesday was awful, I wanted to walk out (didn't) and then the great british public got to the polling booth on thrusday and suddenly thought "oh my god, I'm frightened of changed" and the party that everyone was apparently going to vote for won LESS seats than they did in the last election and the same old two parties got all the votes.
Depressing. Hoping this week will be better. Hope yours will be, too.
It is impressive (if I may say so myself) because it's getting cold and I hate waking up early when it's cold! I have had to have a lot of coffee too...glad to hear you had a relaxing weekend
ReplyDeleteNo energy drinks for me. Coffee is better ;)
ReplyDeleteYour post reminds me of my post-grad days, where we would be stuffed with numerous assignments, group activities, plus research work and of course the usual 'having-a nice-time-with-friends' - all lead to aches, pains and headaches and an overdose of sleep. Ginger tea is awesome... kept us alive through those days :)
ReplyDeleteBusy busy indeed. I'm busy too, but don't know what is keeping me busy :). I don't take any classes or anything, still time goes by each and every day with little to nothing to spare. Anyway :)
ReplyDeleteOh btw, when you say socialising, what do you mean? Meet friends? Or is there something specific you do?
Yeah you are busy aren't you? Missing your regular posts. And yes, socialising is just meeting friends :P Nothing else too specific. Find it hard enough to find time to meet friends.... =D
ReplyDeleteWelcome Vanessa! Oh I remember post-grad days too but I am beginning to feel they were easier! I could manage on lack of sleep back then juggling work, uni, placements, assignments, thesis...but now, I need my 8 hour sleep or I'm completely knackered! =P Ginger tea...hmm...I've always lived on coffee....
ReplyDeleteSounds like an interesting start to the week. How are you feeling about the election results? Not too happy, I suppose? Would love to read a post about the class... Hope this week is better for you!
ReplyDeletePost-grad life does seem easier compared to the present rumble-tumble of life... and coffee shall always reign as the 'wake-up brew' for the half dead people... ginger tea is just an alternative, if you feel like changing your taste [though I don't think that's gonna happen] :) ... till then enjoy your coffee!
ReplyDeleteTrue, the post-grad days seem easier compared to the present rumble-tumble... and coffee will always reign as the 'wake-up brew' for the half dead people... ginger tea is just an alternative drink, if you ever feel like changing your taste. Till then, enjoy your coffee :)
ReplyDeleteYes...I would gladly go back. Or maybe not, on second thoughts. I might just try ginger tea sometime...not a big fan of tea but I guess it will taste differently with ginger....
